What likely helped was the car's part-time all-wheel-drive system that includes automatic locking hubs. Ooo I had a red one. Disassemble your side mirrors and grease the ball bushing that the mirror pivots on. If you break the mirror don't worry because they are NA miata mirrors. Your Window motors are from a late 90s either corolla or camry can remember which and don't forget that the drive train and interior is from a sidekick.
